It all began

The dyno blue pearl II color have been discontinued since the new FL introduction making it "rare'

in September 15, 2011 when i received the key to this hybrid car. Yes, its a Honda Insight 2011 model, a CBU unit imported from Japan.

What makes it interesting to own this car is that due to the fact that government of Malaysia is giving a hybrid incentive in a form of tax exemption for this car, meaning the price is right for a fully imported car.

This small car runs on a petrol-motor electric engine combination. its 1.3 engine is sufficient for 121Nm of torque and 88bhp, coupled with a motor providing 78 Nm of torque furthermore. In all its effort to cut down fuel consumption, cylinder deactivation is present in this car, autocruise,  brake regeneration and much more.

New engine look

Since its a hybrid providing at least 20km/l of fuel consumption, many would be owners felt that this car is underpowered. Rest assured that this hybrid can do much more (with a certain mod of course) whilst maintaining excellent fuel consumption.

This blog will document mods that have been carried out, reviews, tips and new projects.

All spanking clean and new and shouting "we want mod, we want mod"
